[beyond was dead, and now he's not.

it's a perplexing position for anyone to find themselves in, of course, but even more so when there's something fundamental about that person that's gone missing - something that should be there, but isn't. beyond has found he is missing such a thing, and has decided to take advantage of the technology of this new place in order to work out his thoughts regarding this dilemma.]

"In the social jungle of human existence, there is no feeling of being alive without a sense of identity."

[his voice is quiet, raspy, almost unnaturally even in tone. he pauses, then picks up with one of many questions currently on his mind, addressing anyone within earshot.]

What shapes your sense of identity?

Are you an orphan, then?

[omar]

[Yeah, that's about as much personal information as he feels like handing out, especially over the phone. He gives a little non-committal sound, sort of a verbal shrug.]

Y'all probably wanna be careful with that girl Tiffany. She got a lot of people up in here.

On the ship, you mean? She has allies?

[omar]

I do, and she does.

[recinerate]

I would expect nothing less. Do you mention this because you view me as a threat?

[omar]

[A soft sound, not even really meaningful enough to be a scoff. Omar is threatened by very little -- a random voice on the network is about as much a concern to him as whether or not there's cereal for breakfast.

Granted, he really likes cereal, and the arrogance implicit in the question is something that might pique his attention if he so chooses to be piqued.]

Then I suppose I should thank you for it. [he doesn't sound particularly grateful.]
